What will this recipe make?

Flaxseeds and other seeds are very good for female hormonal balance and generally help you feel better. This is a great way of adding them to your diet. The crackers can be made plain or add herbs and spices as you like. You can put any spread on or simply a bit of butter. They are gluten-free and dairy-free.

80g rolled oats or oatmeal 20g whole flaxseeds 20g mixed seeds Pinch of salt 1 tbsp olive oil Optional: ground turmeric, other herbs
Blitz the oats in a blender, or if you have oatmeal use it as it is. Mix all ingredients and add 60ml of warm water. Combine and leave to rest somewhere warm for 10 minutes. Place the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper and roll the dough to a thin layer. Remove the top paper and cut into square crackers. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly brown.

Caramelised Onion Sauce

Onions are a great prebiotic source and when they’ve been gently heated for quite a while, like in this recipe, they are very easy to digest. I use this sauce in stead of tomato sauce on pizza among other things. It’s a great alternative for those who can’t tolerate tomatoes and lectins. But it’s just as great with meats, cheese, sausages, or even just a piece of crispy bread with goat cheese.
